Dear friend of God,
This past year, by the grace of God, over 10 households discovered St. Paul and/or began attending more regularly, an Orthodox Enrichment Youth Program was successfully launched, and a relationship with the Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) of Naples established. In the coming year, we expect to continue growing the Youth Program, initiate even more family-oriented activities, and draw those thirsting for the fullness of the Gospel into the Orthodox Christian faith. God willing, 2020 will be a year of increased “forward thinking” and vision to further establish St. Paul for generations to come and grow our presence in the local community. We ask you to support these worthy efforts and the next step in the life of your parish. Giving to His Church reflects your commitment to God and is a way to thank Him for His grace and generosity.
The question is not, “How much do I give to stay in the club?” or “What are the dues?” – St. Paul Orthodox Christian Church is not a club and has no membership dues. As Christians, we ask “How can I support His Church? How can I ‘pay it forward’ and thank God for His blessings? How can I help this parish flourish using my God-given Time, Talent, and Treasure?”.
This year’s goal is 75 Stewards (i.e. pledges) and $150,000. Your confidential pledge can be returned in the following ways:
• Place your pledge card in the offering plate or donation box at church
• Mail your pledge to St. Paul Orthodox Christian Church using the included return envelope
• Go 100% paperless: Online Form
There is absolutely no minimum as every faithful pledge helps no matter the amount – give freely and with love. If circumstances in your life change, your pledge can too. The Church is a spiritual hospital – the ark of salvation – not a courtroom.
Being called an Orthodox Christian is tremendously humbling and joyous – a true gift from the Author of our lives. Since we are but tenants in the world, entrusted with the care of all these things God has given us, it is only natural to desire seeing this life grow and flourish in our community. The Christian life is a constant confession of faith in the Living God. Christian Stewardship, our giving, is a visible symbol, an action reflective, of the inner disposition of the soul towards the Creator of the Universe. Stewardship is faith in action.
The time is now to build for tomorrow.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Fr. Paul Girgis
