Blessed Feast of St. Ignatius of Antioch (12/20)

The martyrdom of St. Ignatius in the Roman arena

Did you know?

“According to the Tradition of the Church, Our Lord Jesus Christ placed Ignatius – then a young boy – on his lap when he said: “Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.” Furthermore, St. Ignatius was a disciple of St. John the Theologian and was the second bishop to succeed the Holy Apostle Peter to the episcopal throne of Antioch.”

Weekly Bible Study Group
Thursday 6PM-7PM

Join us in receiving spiritual edification through the grace-filled words of the Desert Fathers from the Early Church in conjunction with the Holy Scriptures. This is not a lecture hour with Fr. Paul but rather a warm-discussion about the relevant reading and how it fits into our personal life, local community, and world. This is how we learn about the Ancient Christian Faith.

Great Vespers & Caroling by St. Polycarp Romanian Orthodox Mission

Join us this Saturday (Dec. 22) at 6PM for Great Vespers and a visit from one of our dear Orthodox Christian parishes in Naples, FL.

Holy Altar table at St. Paul Church in Naples during Great Vespers

Fr. Ovidiu along with a group of his parishioners will join us for service and sing several traditional [Romanian] Christmas carols for us.

We loved it last year and are glad they are coming back to spread the “Nativity” cheer!
